Madison County holding Type 2 diabetes education program

WAMPSVILLE - The Madison County Health Department is sponsoring a free diabetes education program for Madison County residents with Type 2 diabetes. The five-week series, "Take charge of Your Diabetes," will be held Tuesday evenings beginning Sept. 30 through Oct. 28 from 6-7 p.m. at the Madison County Health Department.

Space is limited to 20 people and registration is required by Tuesday, Sept. 23. The program is funded by the CNY Diabetes Prevention partnership, a grant from the NYS Department of Health and is supported by the Madison County Living Well Partnership.

Some of the topics will include: daily care to avoid complications, coping with diabetes, medication, tests you should expect to have and more. To request a copy of the brochure or to register for the program call the department at 366-2361.
